MJ Ntsanwisi's Biography

 


Mrs. Mokhoba Julia Ntsanwisi is the deputy chairperson of HURESIC board of trustees. She is a resident of Nkowankowa Township in the Greater Tzaneen Municipality. She joined HURESIC in 2005 as a deputy chairperson of the board and was reelected as deputy chairperson in 2007.


Mrs. Ntsanwisi has professional qualifications in teaching, namely, Primary Teacher Diploma and Higher Education Diploma obtained from Lemana Training Institution and University of South Africa (post Graduate) respectively  . She furthered her education where she obtained a BA degree with the University of South Africa and BA Honours obtained from the University of Pretoria.


Mrs. Ntsanwisi has been a teacher for 9 years in Primary school (i.e. grade R-7). She worked 1 year at Tivumbeni College of education as a Lecturer. She taught 30 years in Secondary and High schools. Mrs. Ntanwisi’s leadership qualities in terms of her experience and participation including amongst others the following,


·         Head of Department (languages) – 1986 to 1989 at Charles Mathonsi High school.


·         Acting principal – 1989-1990 Mathlari High school.


·         Deputy Principal – 1992 to 1995 at Charles Mathons High school.


·         Acting principal – 1996-1998 at Magoza secondary school.


·         Principal – 1998-2007 at Magoza secondary


·         Senior sub-marker for English 2nd language higher grade (grade 12) – 1985-1998 for Department of Education


·         Church Elder – 1995 to 2001 –Evangelical Presbyterian church in South Africa.


·         Chaplain 2000-2007 – South Africa Principal Association.


·         Chaplain 2001-2007- Professional Educators Union.


Mrs. Ntsanwisi received some awards while providing her service to the public and the community. Awards include the following:


·         Long service certificate: 20 years services: 1991 Gazankulu Department of Education.


·         Life time Achievement Award: District / Regional / Finalist 2006 for National Teaching Awards.
